About Massive Corporation

Founded in late 2018 by CEO Kai Hutchence, Massive Corporation Game Studios is a game development studio based in Regina Saskatchewan. The studio does both in-house unique IP creation as well as custom commercial work for clients. We can deliver video games, board games, books, e-books, card games and tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPG) for entertainment, e-learning, public service, and educational purposes.

Our team is centred on veteran industry professionals with over 20 years of experience in game development and education. With experience in major studio AAA games down to solo indie projects. Whether in-person or remote teaching, curriculum development, marketing or writing we’ve got the professional chops to help you deliver world class experiences and products.

Massive Corporation’s internally developed IPs include PC puzzle game Brandins Buttons released on Steam in 2020, Cheese Runner releasing on Steam soon, and A Fistful of Pie, an education card game currently in playtesting. Unfortunately our video game homage to our home town Queen City Chaos (a NES-inspired retro Brawler Adventure game inspired by River City Ransom, Battletoads, and TMNT) has been put on hiatus due to covid disrupting our team and closing many of the local business partners we had intented to work with. We do hope to return to it someday.

Our Massive Learning division focuses on educational products and services for coding education and digital citizenship. We are committed to helping the next generation make the most of the digital world and all its opportunities. To help the coding revolution in education we’re publishing games, professional development books and videos, and providing educational consulting to help bring coding into the classroom and prepare students for their digital futures.

We’ve been strong community partners and believe in lifting up others. Our Massive Sacks of Cash grant program is designed to help fund local indie developers to help them develop early projects and learn the ropes of the industry. Our inaugural recipient Cheekynauts are doing great things and we look forward to supporting more creatives in the future through the grant. We also commit to regular efforts in mentoring and community building with SaskGameDev the unofficial community support organization we founded to grow the local game industry in Saskatchewan.
